Senior Coatings Engineer

Our client, a global leader in food and animal safety, is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge coating technologies. This position is perfect for those who excel at the crossroads of materials science, process engineering, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional projects to design, formulate, and test coating technology solutions.
• Optimize web processing technologies and application processes to enhance manufacturing performance.
• Provide expert coating insights to support manufacturing activities and resolve related issues.
• Evaluate new materials and surface-treatment technologies for improved performance and durability.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet product requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, specifications, and process standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and offer subject-matter expertise across the organization.
• Support process development efforts in new product introduction (NPI) processes.
• Drive manufacturing improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing process experience.
• Proven expertise in coating process fundamentals and application in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and project management skills; Six Sigma training preferred.
• Hands-on experience with coating equipment and analytical methods.
• Proficiency in web processing technologies, including roll-to-roll coating and extrusion processes.
