Title: Senior B2B Collections Specialist
Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Growing Organization
Location: Upper Saddle River, New Jersey
Compensation: $68,000 - $75,000 per year
LHH is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization that has recently created a new position within their Accounts Receivable team due to continued expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced collections professional to join a high-performing, collaborative team reporting directly to the AR Manager.
This organization operates in a lean, performance-driven environment with clearly defined KPIs and a strong focus on cash flow optimization. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, professional on the phone, and thrives in a structured setting.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the collections process for key enterprise and high-value B2B accounts
Conduct professional outreach via phone and email to resolve complex past-due balances
Negotiate and structure payment plans, settlements, and promissory agreements
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with internal teams
Maintain accurate and detailed records within CRM/ERP systems
Analyze aging reports and provide insights on cash flow and collection performance
Identify high-risk accounts and assist with escalation and pre-legal review processes
Support and mentor junior team members on best practices and collection strategies
Ensure compliance with internal policies and credit/collections regulations
What We're Looking For
· 6-8+ years of B2B collections, commercial credit, or accounts receivable experience
· Proven success managing high-volume, high-value accounts and reducing DSO
· Strong phone presence with the ability to handle professional, high-stakes conversations
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while meeting performance metrics and deadlines
Professional, focused demeanor in a team-oriented but structured environment
Experience in the construction industry is a plus
