Description
Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Auto PIP Claims Examiner to their team. This individual will be responsible for handling moderate to complex Commercial Auto Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include investigating coverage, evaluating liability and damages, coordinating medical management, negotiating settlements, and managing both litigated and non-litigated files. This is a fully remote position but qualified candidates must possess an active New York Adjuster's License.
Responsibilities:
Investigate, evaluate coverage, negotiate, and resolve moderate to complex Commercial Auto PIP claims.
Manage a pending inventory of approximately 110–125 claims.
Conduct thorough investigations, obtain and analyze medical records, billing documentation, wage loss information, and other supporting evidence.
Coordinate with medical providers, attorneys, insureds, and claimants to facilitate timely claim resolution.
Manage litigated files, direct defense counsel, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations when appropriate.
Ensure timely claim payments, maintain accurate file documentation, and comply with all applicable state regulations and company best practices.
Requirements:
5-7+ years of Commercial Auto PIP claims handling experience.
Experience handling litigated Commercial Auto PIP claims required.
Active NY Adjuster's License required.
Strong knowledge of PIP coverage, medical terminology, and applicable state regulations.
Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits:
$40.00–$50.00+/hour (depending on experience).
