Senior Commercial Construction Superintendent

A leading commercial construction company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to provide leadership and oversight for complex commercial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for overall field execution while working closely with Project Management, ownership, design teams, subcontractors, and company leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all field operations from preconstruction and mobilization through project closeout.

• Establish and maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate sequencing of all trades.

• Direct and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

• Lead daily and weekly project meetings and maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders.

• Oversee jobsite safety, quality control, productivity, and schedule performance.

• Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings and identify potential conflicts.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and project closeout.

• Work closely with the Project Manager on project schedules, changes, costs, and overall project performance.

• Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact schedule, quality, or project delivery.

• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.

• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.

• Proven experience leading complex commercial projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and competing project priorities.

• OSHA certification and construction-related education preferred.
