A bit about us:

Our client is a venture-backed energy company developing and deploying across multiple international markets. They're a lean, high-caliber team moving fast, and they're building out the legal foundation to support a contracting volume that's growing as fast as their order book.

Why join us?

You'll work on a contract mix that most in-house attorneys don't see until much later in their career: PPAs, EPC, offtake, interconnection, all live and at volume. You'll have real influence over how the legal function is built, not just how it operates. And you'll do it at a company where the work has genuine consequences beyond the next deal close. If you're a commercially sharp attorney who wants to be a builder, this is for you.

Job Details

Description
Own end-to-end contract work across a broad mix of commercial, construction, procurement, and revenue agreements: including MSAs, SOWs, PPAs, long-term operating contracts, and vendor and supplier agreements
Work directly with business, engineering, finance, and operations teams to structure deals, surface risk, and keep execution on track
Turn complex legal and commercial issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders
Build and improve contracting infrastructure: templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and tracking systems
Support procurement and supply chain contracting from vendor onboarding through close
Engage outside counsel selectively on specialized matters while handling the bulk of work internally

Qualifications
J.D. and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
5–10 years of commercial contracting experience in-house, at a firm, or both
Substantive experience with energy and infrastructure development agreements: revenue contracts, construction and procurement deals, and long-term service arrangements
Ability to manage a high volume of active contracts without sacrificing quality or attention to detail
A reputation as the lawyer people actually want to call, clear, practical, low ego
Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is part of the job
Sound judgment on when to push back and when to move
