This on-site role offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate transactions , many of which support affordable housing and community development initiatives across Ohio .If you are looking for a role where your expertise directly contributes to meaningful projects—and where collaboration, growth, and excellence are valued—this could be the opportunity for you.Job Title: Commercial Escrow OfficerLocation: Columbus, Ohio – On-siteWhy You Should Apply Play a key role in complex commercial real estate and refinance transactionsBe part of a team making a positive impact on individuals, families, and communitiesCollaborate closely with experienced title, escrow, and legal professionalsEnjoy a team-oriented culture where ideas are welcomed and valuedJoin a growing organization with long-term career advancement opportunitiesWork within a professional, well-structured business environmentThe Role The Commercial Escrow Officer is responsible for managing escrow transactions from start to finish, serving as the primary point of contact for all parties involved, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service throughout the closing process.Key Responsibilities Include: Serving as the main point of contact for buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholdersManaging escrow files from opening through post-closingPreparing, balancing, and reviewing settlement statementsReceiving, verifying, and disbursing funds in compliance with instructionsResolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate documentationCoordinating with the title department to resolve title issues (liens, easements, vesting, legal descriptions, judgments, bankruptcies, etc.)Overseeing document execution and closing logisticsVerifying acknowledgements, legal descriptions, lien information, and payoff accuracyAssembling recording packages and closing bindersDistributing final closing documentation to all partiesManaging and growing client relationships to encourage repeat businessProviding a consistently high level of customer serviceAssisting the legal department as neededThe Ideal Candidate Skills & Abilities Deep understanding of real estate law, title insurance, and escrow proceduresProven experience managing large, complex commercial transactionsCommissioned Ohio Notary Public with Remote Online Notarization (or willingness to obtain)Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracyStrong project management and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProfessional, client-focused mindsetProficiency with escrow, title, and project management software (SoftPro, RamQuest, Monday.com, QuickBooks)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with online due diligence and file-sharing platforms (Sharefile, Box, Dropbox, Procorem)Education & Experience Minimum 7 years of experience overseeing real estate closings (escrow officer, supervisor, or manager preferred)Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification a plusTitle license a plusAbout the Organization High-impact real estate transactionsRecognized for leadership in affordable housing and community development projectsCollaborative culture integrating title, escrow, and legal teamsGrowth-oriented organization with a strong commitment to professional excellenceWhat's in It for You?
