A Proven Lender's Opportunity to Lead in the OKC Metro

A respected, community-rooted Oklahoma bank — nearly 90 years strong and profitable every year since its founding — is expanding its commercial banking presence in the OKC Metro. As part of that growth, the bank is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lender to originate and manage a high-quality loan portfolio while building lasting client relationships across the market.

This role is well suited to a lender who is equally comfortable structuring a complex credit and developing new business through direct outreach and community involvement. The bank offers real autonomy, a strong credit team, and the lending capacity to compete for meaningful deals.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development

• Prospect, develop, and close new commercial banking relationships across the OKC Metro
• Leverage existing networks and build new ones through community involvement, referral sources, and direct outreach
• Cross-sell a full suite of commercial banking products, including treasury management, deposit services, and business banking solutions
• Represent the bank at community events, industry associations, and civic organizations

  Lending & Credit

• Originate, structure, and negotiate commercial loans, including C&I, owner-occupied CRE, construction, and lines of credit
• Conduct thorough financial analysis of business and personal financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral
• Prepare and present well-supported credit memos with clear analysis, risk identification, and sound recommendations
• Actively manage and monitor an existing commercial loan portfolio, identifying credit deterioration early
• Ensure loan documentation, covenants, and compliance requirements are met throughout the life of each credit

  Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients, providing responsive, high-touch service
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and business calls to understand evolving client needs
• Collaborate with internal partners across treasury, mortgage, and wealth to deliver comprehensive financial solutions
• Resolve client issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a high standard of service and trust

  What You Bring

  Required

• 7+ years of commercial lending experience with a proven track record of production and portfolio management
• Strong credit acumen, including financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, loan structuring, and risk assessment
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop new commercial banking business
• Experience with C&I and/or commercial real estate lending
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present credit requests clearly
• Thorough understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and sound lending practices
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

  Preferred

• An established book of business and existing relationships in the OKC Metro
• Experience with agricultural, energy sector, or SBA lending
• Completion of a formal bank credit training program
