Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionServe as the primary litigation paralegal on complex business litigation matters in Texas state and federal courts, managing cases with a high degree of ownership and autonomyDocket and eFile in both federal and state courts, ensuring all filings are accurate, timely, and procedurally compliantManage case calendars and litigation deadlines end-to-end — calculating, calendaring, and proactively alerting attorneys to upcoming court and internal deadlinesConduct substantive document review and manage e-discovery workflows using platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, and EverlawDraft litigation documents including discovery shells, subpoenas, deposition notices, affidavits, privilege logs, and document production logs for both state and federal mattersAssist with briefs and memoranda, including building tables of authorities and tables of contentsPrepare pre-trial filings including trial exhibit lists, witness lists, and deposition excerpt designations in both state and federal courtOperate Trial Director during live trials — upload exhibits and video depositions, clip video, and run the program in the courtroomAssist attorneys at trial, handling exhibits and managing courtroom setup logisticsSchedule hearings and depositions, coordinating directly with court personnel, opposing counsel, and court reportersBates number, redact, and organize legal documents; create demonstrative exhibitsCoordinate service of process and gather and arrange evidence and supporting documentation for attorneysCommunicate professionally with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, court personnel, and outside vendorsTrack open matter status and assignment progress across an active, multi-case docketHandle confidential and time-sensitive materials with precision and discretionAdapt to periodic after-hours demands when trial schedules or deadlines require itQualifications10+ years of business litigation paralegal experience in Texas state and federal courts — requiredAssociate's or bachelor's degree; paralegal certification or equivalentProficiency with e-discovery platforms including Relativity, DISCO, and/or EverlawExperience operating Trial Director in a live trial setting strongly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and document management systems; Centerbase and NetDocuments experience preferredStrong working knowledge of Texas state and federal court procedures, eFiling systems, and litigation deadlinesDemonstrated ability to draft litigation documents, manage complex calendars, and support trial preparation independentlyOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume docket in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative team player who also thrives working independently with minimal oversightWhy You Will Love Working HereThis is a role for a paralegal who has put in the years, developed serious litigation skills, and wants a home where that expertise is put to real use — not underutilized.
