Position Summary
The Senior Commercial Printing Estimator plays a critical leadership role in delivering accurate, strategic, and competitive cost estimates for complex print and manufacturing projects. This position is responsible for driving pricing strategy, optimizing profitability, and ensuring estimates reflect best-in-class production methods. The role partners cross-functionally with sales, engineering, production, and leadership to align customer requirements with operational capabilities while positioning the organization for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate estimates for complex commercial printing projects, ensuring all costs, materials, labor, and overhead are properly captured and aligned with company margin objectives
Develop and execute pricing strategies that reflect the value of solutions provided, market conditions, and customer expectations
Evaluate opportunities to enhance profitability through strategic markup, cost optimization, and process improvements
Serve as a subject matter expert on estimating processes, continuously improving tools, workflows, and methodologies to increase efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to assess feasibility, production schedules, and technical specifications
Act as a key liaison between departments to ensure alignment on customer requirements, timelines, and deliverables
Analyze historical data and project performance to inform future estimates and pricing models
Maintain a strong focus on customer responsiveness, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery

Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years of estimating experience in the commercial printing industry, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and estimating or ERP systems
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information to internal teams and stakeholders
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams
Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
