What You'll Do

• Lead field operations on commercial construction projects ranging from approximately $100K to $15MM.
• Manage day-to-day jobsite execution, including coordination, scheduling, safety, and production flow.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Coach and direct field staff to improve quality, accountability, and jobsite performance.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-run jobsites that reflect high standards of professionalism and safety.
• Identify and solve field issues quickly to protect schedule, workmanship, and client confidence.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6-12 months, success in this role will be defined by your ability to:

• Keep assigned projects organized, safe, and moving according to schedule.
• Deliver a high standard of field quality and workmanship across a range of project sizes.
• Build credibility with clients, subcontractors, and team members through clear communication and dependable follow-through.
• Strengthen field productivity by leading crews well, solving problems early, and maintaining jobsite discipline.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, where safety, service, and integrity show up in the daily work.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a superintendent with proven field leadership experience in commercial construction and a strong grasp of construction methods, codes, and jobsite execution. You should be confident communicating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, and able to lead with both accountability and respect. Hands-on field ability, familiarity with layout and survey work, solid problem-solving skills, computer proficiency, and a valid driver's license are all important for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role is $60,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience. Modus Construction also offers paid time off, holiday pay, a health insurance allowance, company vehicle and fuel card, company laptop, and ongoing training including OSHA certification support.
