Join Macquarie's São Paulo Commodities and FX Desk as a Senior Commodity Marketer/Originator. In this role, you will be part of a high-performing global team focused on delivering risk management and over-the-counter trading in the Brazilian commodities market. In this role, will work directly with producers, processors, traders, and other market participants to structure and execute over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions tailored to their commercial needs.

What role will you play?

One a daily basis, you will work closely with both local and international stakeholders, you will lead the origination, pricing, execution, and ongoing management of commodity risk transactions, while helping clients navigate evolving market conditions. You will also play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the growth of Macquarie's commodities franchise in Brazil.

This is a role with significant growth potential. Individuals who have previously held similar positions have progressed into senior marketing, origination, structuring, and trading roles across Macquarie's global commodities platform. The position offers direct exposure to clients, commercial decision-making, and market risk management, providing an excellent foundation for long-term career development.

What you offer

• Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, delivering a high-quality client experience and identifying opportunities to expand business activity.
• Market, structure, price, and execute OTC commodity derivative transactions to help clients manage price risk and achieve their commercial objectives.
• Partner with clients to understand their exposures and develop customized hedging and risk management solutions tailored to their specific needs.
• Support the management of counterparty hedging portfolios, including trade lifecycle monitoring and ongoing risk assessment.
• Collaborate with internal trading, structuring, legal, credit, and operations teams to facilitate transaction execution and ensure appropriate controls and governance.
• Analyze commodity market fundamentals, pricing dynamics, and client requirements to generate innovative structured transaction opportunities.
• Contribute to business development initiatives aimed at expanding Macquarie's presence and client base within the Brazilian commodities markets.
• Assist with regulatory, reporting, and operational processes associated with derivative trading activities.
