Program Overview
This position supports the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB), which provides critical IT infrastructure and services to Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) worldwide. The DDSB ensures the operational readiness of medical systems through proactive system configuration, standardized change management, and robust enterprise IT governance in both on-premise and MED365 cloud environments. This role contributes to the health and safety of service members, veterans, and their families.
Position Summary
The Senior Configuration/Change Enablement Specialist provides leadership and subject matter expertise (SME) in developing, executing, and institutionalizing Configuration Management (CM) and Change Enablement strategies for DHA’s enterprise infrastructure. In addition to fulfilling standard configuration management functions, this senior-level position is responsible for shaping CM policy, directing audits, managing interdependencies between systems, and ensuring complete and accurate Configuration Item (CI) records. The role ensures alignment with best practices and compliance with DoD standards while supporting effective service operations and minimizing risk from unauthorized changes.
