Overview The Senior Accountant role includes preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.Responsibilities Coordinate the review, documentation and recording of journal entriesComplete account reconciliations and resolve any identified discrepanciesAssist in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly financial statements and reporting packages to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingAssist in the development and preparation of presentations to communicate key financial information including historical and forecasted performance, documenting deviations from budgetExplore and present opportunities to improve and streamline reporting processesParticipate in the preparation of financial statements and reports for board of directors, auditors, energy projects, and special assignmentsMonitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical, and comprehensive mannerAssist Accounting manager and team with a variety of tasks and special projects as requestedAssist in the coordination of the annual auditRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysisProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically modeling expertise in Excel and strong PowerPoint presentation experienceProficient in accounting softwareExceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulationsExcellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilityEffective written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and collaborative team playerComfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentAbility to work independently and rely on experience and judgement to accomplish goalsPreferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferredExperience working in a public accounting firm, or large publicly traded company is preferredCMA, MBA, and/or construction/engineering industry experience is a plusENFRA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
