6:30 am - 3:30 pm; Monday - Friday.

Mandatory Position

This position is designated as 'mandatory' and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions.

Primary Purpose of Position

This position serves as the Senior Construction Crew Leader, setting work priorities and providing oversight of equipment and crew needs, including all necessary vendor coordination and materials ordering processes.

Minimum Education/Experience

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience in trade(s) areas assigned; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Job Duties

This position acts as a master in concrete, asphalt repair, drainage work, grading, earthwork, pavers, and assorted project types.

Other Work Responsibilities

This position will lead Facility Maintenance Technicians in performing multiple site-related activities related to Grounds Functions. Schedules and reviews work assignments and sets daily objectives for the work unit based on established priorities and time frames.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

• Preference for experience in multiple construction and materials backgrounds.
• Preference for strong working knowledge and experience with concrete, asphalt, drainage, and many other site-related activities.
• Experience as a first-line or second-line supervisor in a multi-trade facilities maintenance unit.
• Heavy equipment operation.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications

Valid Driver's license.
