Senior Construction QA/QC Program Engineer

Pay Range: $90/hr - $100/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance.
• Analyze metrics to understand the root cause of disconcerting trends and collaborate with applicable parties for corrections.
• Assist in developing on-site partners’ construction QA and QC teams.
• Create and implement QA/QC processes and standards for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Interface between design, construction, safety, and facility operations.
• Provide training on quality procedures and responsibilities in the QA/QC process.
• Coordinate quality issues among design, construction, and facility operations teams.
• Audit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors to assess conformance with procedures.
• Examine mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing (MECP) submittals for compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements.
• Develop, review, and approve quality documentation, including procedures and testing matrices.
• Recommend and verify implementation of corrective actions for project non-conformances.
• Review commissioning scripts and provide feedback.
• Assist construction manager in reviewing turnover documentation for completeness.
• Help drive closure to open issues and escalate outstanding items as necessary.
• Attend factory witness tests for contractor installed equipment and systems.
• Conduct onsite visual inspections for construction quality control.
• Confirm proper completion of testing documentation.
• Review installed labeling, signage, and tagging.
• Develop project-specific QA/QC dashboards and presentations.
• Attend required construction meetings, including weekly and monthly QA/QC meetings.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• 5+ years experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projects.
• Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.
• Experience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
• Experience leading QA/QC and Cx programs.
• Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
• Experience in mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems.
