Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Consultant based out of Atlanta, Georgia to lead facility and infrastructure condition assessment programs, asset management initiatives, and capital planning projects. This role is responsible for project delivery, client relationship management, technical leadership, business development, and oversight of multidisciplinary teams supporting public and private sector clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage facility and infrastructure condition assessment projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, planners, and asset management specialists.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and executive-level summaries.
  • Identify opportunities for boarder asset management activities

Condition Assessment & Asset Management

  • Plan and oversee facility condition assessments for buildings, campuses, utilities, transportation assets, and critical infrastructure.
  • Direct field investigations, asset inventories, and building system evaluations.
  • Managed team that is responsible for evaluating asset condition, remaining useful life, deferred maintenance requirements, and replacement costs.
  • Development Facility Condition Index (FCI) analyses capital renewal plans.
  • Support developing lifecycle costing and risk-based prioritization methodologies.
  • Ensure assessment of data quality and integration into client asset management systems.

Technical Leadership

  • Review findings from architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and specialty disciplines.
  • Analyze asset performance and operational risks.
  • Identify deficiencies, code compliance concerns, and future capital needs.
  • Develop recommendations for repair, rehabilitation, replacement, and modernization programs.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and site reviews with clients and stakeholders.
  • Present assessment findings and capital planning recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Support business development efforts including proposals, presentations, positioning activities, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with operations, design, and program management teams across multiple markets.

Financial & Schedule Management

  • Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
  • Track project expenditures, invoices, and contract deliverables.
  • Manage subcontractors and specialty consultants.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, quality standards, and organizational procedures.

Leadership & Business Development

  • Demonstrate leadership, integrity, and support for Jacobs Culture of Caring environment.
  • Maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business opportunities.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and new contract pursuits.

This position requires 30% of travel.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in facility condition assessments, infrastructure assessments, asset management, or capital planning.
  • 10+ years of project management experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and infrastructure assets.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Attributes include good oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Facility Condition Index (FCI), asset lifecycle modeling, and capital planning.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and enterprise asset management platforms.
  • Experience supporting public sector, education, healthcare, transportation, or federal clients.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

123,600.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

193,200.00

The base salary range for this position is $123,600.00 to $193,200.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
