Senior Consulting Engineer

We are searching for two experienced Electrical Professional Engineers (5-10 years) who have experience with another MEP consulting engineering firm and are looking for more responsibility, higher pay and a stake in the company if they meet qualifications to become a partner working out of our Wilmington, DE offices. This role is responsible for project conceptualization, design, oversight of bidding and construction to satisfactory completion of all projects assigned.  Engineer will provide client-ready design, bidding and construction administration services for facility infrastructure projects supporting our government, institutional and commercial clients in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

This role will be a good fit for someone who wants to find a long term home at a firm where they can make a contribution and take a leadership role.  Candidates who like handling multiple projects,  are highly detail oriented, yet don’t get flustered easily and who enjoy helping customers solve problems will find our firm to be a great fit.  We are looking for engineers with an ambition to become a partner of the firm. The role is primarily a consulting Engineer and client interfacing position with office time in Wilmington, DE and project sites.

Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical client design and projects. 

• Monitor construction progress, schedules, quality, and project deliverables. 

• Develop & review electrical designs with other consultants, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance. 

• Coordinate with client staff and personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. 

• Ensure compliance with our firm’s standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, OSHA, and applicable regulations. 

• Conduct site inspections and document project progress. 

• Identify construction risks and recommend corrective actions. 

• Support project scheduling, reporting, cost tracking, and quality assurance activities. 

• Conduct & document project meetings held at on-site project locations and by Microsoft Teams. 

• Assist with construction closeout and project turnover documentation. 

Our Firm:

Our full-service Consulting Engineering firm has been practicing engineering since 2009 out of our offices in Wilmington, DE.  We are expanding our customer base over the next three to five years and looking for engineers who want to grow with us and gain ownership shares as we expand.   

Requirements

• 10 years consulting engineering experience and at least 5 years as a Registered Professional Engineer.
• Design experience with power distribution, power upgrades, emergency power, sub station upgrades, lighting retrofit, demand side reduction of energy projects (micro-grid, solar) ideal, security, fire protection, and other facilities infrastructure improvements, new construction.
• Delaware residency a plus.
