About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Healthcare Business Analyst/ Product Owner, you will make an impact by leading discovery, requirements analysis, scope definition, and development-ready user story creation for healthcare transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, system integration teams, configuration teams, quality assurance teams, implementation partners, and clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to identify business, system integration, configuration, and testing requirements.
  • Facilitate scope discovery sessions, document business needs, and drive alignment to establish a clearly defined and approved implementation scope before development begins.
  • Review approved Business Requirements Documents and translate requirements into development-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with business, system integration, configuration, quality assurance, and delivery teams to review, refine, validate, and align requirements.
  • Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability, manage requirement changes, and support delivery through clear documentation, stakeholder communication, and requirements governance.

What you must have to be considered

  • 12+ years of business analysis or Product management experience, preferably within healthcare payer/provider, healthcare technology, or consulting environments.
  • Product Owner for payer domain responsible for translating healthcare business needs into prioritized product requirements and delivery outcomes
  • Own and prioritize payer product backlog epics and user stories
  • Experience leading discovery workshops, requirements elicitation, scope definition, and stakeholder alignment activities.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into development-ready user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business, development, testing, configuration, implementation, and system integration partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, documentation, and requirements governance skills.

These will help you succeed

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Healthcare Payer/Provider experience, including exposure to claims, membership, provider, benefits, care management, or related payer business functions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare platform implementations, modernization programs, or system integration initiatives.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and influence stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to connect business needs to practical delivery outcomes.

Compensation

$134,500-$158,500

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
