We are hiring a Senior Content Strategist to help improve the digital experience for NYC residents. In this role, you will simplify complex government information and design user-friendly content that is clear, accessible, and impactful.

What You’ll Do
- Plan and develop content strategies for digital services
- Write and edit clear, easy-to-understand website content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and translate complex information
- Perform content audits and improve existing digital content
- Use data and analytics to improve user experience
- Research laws, policies, and public service processes
- Ensure content meets quality, accessibility, and usability standards
- Track and report on content performance metrics
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, or similar roles
- Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio
- Experience working with style guides and digital content standards
- Ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
- Experience collaborating with teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics preferred)
Preferred
- Background in government, nonprofit, or higher education
- Experience writing plain-language content
- Familiarity with CMS tools
- Experience working in structured or regulated environments
