Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

 

Clearance Requirements: 

Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Join General Dynamics Mission Systems in the Progeny Systems Business Area within the Maritime & Strategic Systems division. As a Senior Contracts Manager, you'll lead a team of contract professionals, manage key customer agreements, and ensure compliance with laws and policies while driving business success.

  • What You’ll Experience

    • Advises leadership and other functions on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
    • Supports proposal activities, risk management, and contract changes for major programs.
    • Lead contract negotiations, reviews, and compliance while protecting the company’s interests.
    • Manage and mentor a team of contracts professionals, fostering growth and excellence.
    • Leverage technology, including AI, to enhance efficiency and consistency in contract management.

    What You Bring to the Table

    • Expertise: Deep knowledge of contract law, FAR/DFARS regulations, and federal procurement practices. Self-motivated to stay abreast of the evolving Government acquisition landscape.
    • Experience: 10+ years of contract management experience (or 8+ years with a Master’s degree).
    • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop teams, set objectives, and drive results.
    • Skills: Strong decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills, with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at leveraging technology for business needs.
