The successful candidate will lead, manage, and develop a team of professional individual contributors who each have signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies. You will present business solutions to preserve and expand the business. You will also represent the company in external negotiations with a diverse set of customers such as governments, commercial entities and public/private institutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage a team of Contracts Regional Directors responsible for the sale and delivery of commercial aircraft
Facilitate the professional development of direct reports
Demonstrate a broad contracting skill set, with the capability to assess risk and make decisions quickly with imperfect information, and the capability to adapt to dramatic shifts in circumstances, both internal and external
Act on authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements for The Boeing Company such as sales and acquisition agreements, general terms agreements, delivery and post-delivery obligations, industrial participation agreements, financing arrangements, settlements, intellectual property licenses and other agreements
Lead the development of contracting and negotiation strategies to enable successful closure
Identify contractual issues and develop creative solutions for contractual risk mitigation
Act as fiduciary and steward of company assets and resources; model the Boeing Values and Behaviors
Collaborate effectively with the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Sales, Revenue Management, and other adjacent organizations in developing contracting strategy
Ensure compliance with all contracting and other applicable processes
Identify and implement any process, tool, or workflow improvement opportunities to drive productivity and enable a better stakeholder experience
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to travel 10% of the time
3+ years of experience in negotiation and contracting processes
3+ years of experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e., business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects or transactions
Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations to define and drive common objectives
Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience with BCA contracting and selling process
Ability to be collaborative and strategic with multiple stakeholders
Ability to execute on commitments
Ability to embrace speed and agility to drive innovation and results
Ability to be a transformational change leader and disruptive thinker that values diversity of thought and models the Boeing Values and Behaviors
