Description

We're partnering with a growing industrial automation and controls integrator in Houston that is expanding its engineering team due to continued business growth. This is a genuine growth hire, offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of industrial automation projects while remaining home every night.If you're a hands-on Controls Engineer who enjoys both project delivery and solving real-world customer challenges, this role offers excellent earning potential, minimal travel, and a highly varied workload.What You'll Be Doing Design, program, test, and commission industrial control systemsLead projects from initial estimate through design, implementation, startup, and handoverDevelop PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for a range of industrial customersRespond to customer service and emergency support calls, troubleshooting and restoring equipment operationWork directly with customers to manage project requirements and resolve technical issuesSupport commissioning, startup activities, and system optimisationEnsure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specificationWhat We're Looking For 5+ years' experience in industrial controls engineeringBackground within a systems integrator or discrete manufacturing environmentStrong PLC programming experience with both Allen Bradley and Siemens platformsHMI and SCADA experience, ideally including Ignition and/or WonderwareComfortable working in industrial environments and supporting equipment onsiteAbility to work independently and lead projects from day oneBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu depending on background)Nice to Have Robotics experience (FANUC and/or Yaskawa Motoman)Experience with VFDs and servo drivesKnowledge of pneumatics and hydraulicsExposure to oil & gas, plastics, packaging, or broader manufacturing industriesWhy Consider This Opportunity?
