Job Summary:
The Sr Controls Engineer will lead the design and execution of control systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to electrical design, testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration across departments to drive innovation and efficiency.


Job Duties:
  • Manage controls and electrical designs, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to key milestones and schedules.
  • Participate in design reviews, refine control systems, and complete electrical designs that align with project specifications.
  • Prepare and submit customer approval drawings, schematics, BOMs, and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and timely release.
  • Work closely with purchasing, vendors, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve design-related challenges and implement improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, support manufacturing in resolving design issues, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Perform in-house controls testing, field installations, and start-ups, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Support the introduction of cutting-edge technology by ensuring seamless integration of controls and electrical requirements.
  • Champion continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.


Qualifications:
  • BSEE degree preferred or equivalent experience (minimum of 10 yrs of industrial machine controls experience)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical controls, drives, servos and PLC logic (Allen Bradley and/ or
    Siemens)
  • Strong knowledge AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, or UL 508A
  • Strong ability to mentor junior engineers
