Controls Service Technician | Charlotte, NC

$45–$50/hour + overtime

Like figuring out why a system actually isn’t working? My client is looking for an experienced Controls Service Technician to support commercial HVAC and building automation customers in the Charlotte market.

You’ll join a small, growing local team backed by an established controls company with deep BACnet experience. You’ll have the independence to own service calls and the opportunity to make your mark as the branch grows.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC controls and DDC systems.

• Investigate issues involving controllers, sensors, actuators, communication networks, sequences, and building system performance.

• Work with customers to understand problems, explain findings, and recommend solutions.

• Support system testing, startup, maintenance, and ongoing service.

• Coordinate with programmers and other technical teammates when a problem calls for additional expertise.

• Document your work clearly and maintain high standards for safety and customer service.

What you bring

Hands-on experience troubleshooting commercial HVAC controls or DDC systems. You understand how equipment and controls work together, can work through problems independently, and communicate well with customers. Tridium and BACnet experience are especially valuable; Schneider EBO experience may also transfer well.

What’s in it for you

$45–$50 per hour plus overtime pay if overtime is needed, a company vehicle and gas card, and paid travel time for hourly employees. The role is hybrid, with most work local to the Charlotte market and occasional travel for projects as needed.
