Job Summary
College of Eastern Idaho is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Coordinator for the BEA Applied STEM Institute who will implement and coordinate institute operations including event creation & management, program scheduling, student logistics, recruitment, enrollment, and participate in outreach efforts. The Senior Coordinator will work with internal and external colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs that support access to STEM, promote educational and workforce acceleration, establish strong community relationships, and highlight innovation in STEM.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an organized and collaborative work style with a demonstrated ability to think creatively, develop processes for efficiency, and successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously. The role coordinates complex scheduling systems, student-facing programming, maintains records and data tracking, and will play a key function in grant management. The position requires a student-centered mindset and the interpersonal skills necessary to engage comfortably and professionally with learners of various ages, particularly youth and teens.
The Senior Coordinator will report directly to the program Director to ensure smooth operations, exceptional student experiences, and build strong relationships with K-12 schools, rural communities, and statewide STEM networks.
This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon available funding.

Typical Job Functions
- Coordinate student recruitment & enrollment in Applied STEM Institute (ASI) programs and events
- Coordinate travel logistics for student learning experiences and events
- Coordinate, and attend student-facing activities, providing onsite support
- Coordinate ASI programming calendars, scheduling, and operational timelines using Colleague, 25Live, and other CEI systems
- Work closely with CEI departments including Early College Programs, Registrar, Workforce Training, and Business Office to manage & maintain records
- Work closely with CEI Institutional Research to track STEM confidence & success measures, including pre-and-post surveys, and tracking student academic and workforce results for five years after program participation
- Maintain accurate and secure records for program evaluation and reporting
- Participate in planning and execution of rural outreach efforts to expand access to STEM opportunities
- As assigned, participate in regional, statewide, and national STEM ecosystem groups (e.g., STEM ecosystem, iSeeSTEM, I-STEM). This may include occasional daytime or overnight travel
- Support instructional staff and partners to coordinate consumables and deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences
- As assigned, coordinate grant management activities and reports, including maintaining compliance with grant requirements, timelines, and deliverables for state, federal, and private grants
- Participate in department and institutional strategic planning as it relates to ASI and/or CEI mission/vision
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners & stakeholders
- Coordinate procurement as needed
- As assigned, manage instructional classroom and lab usage
- As assigned, represent ASI on committees and organizations
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with local, regional, and statewide STEM programs
- High competence using Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong creativity and problem-solving skills
- Experience planning and leading successful events
- Experience with successful collaboration across multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in a student-facing role
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to seek out, receive, and give feedback
- Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor H-1B Visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- Experience working in a community college setting
- Experience working with K12 personnel, curriculum, and standards
- Experience using Learning Management Systems
- Experience with procurement processes
- Bilingual (Spanish)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
