Reports To: Director of New Student Orientation

Job Location: El Paso, Texas (On Site)

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends

FLSA status: Exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $46,550 Annually.

Position Summary

The Senior Coordinator for Parent and Family Services provides leadership for the planning, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of comprehensive parent and family engagement initiatives.

This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage and support parents and family members throughout the student lifecycle by producing programs, events, communications, and resources. The role oversees Parent and Family Orientation programming, serves as the primary point of contact for parent and family members throughout the enrollment experience, manages the Parent and Family Services website and communications, develops print and digital materials, advises the Parent and Family Association Board, and leads assessment and reporting efforts to improve the student, parent, and family experience.

Demonstrates commitment to the universitys mission and supports efforts that strengthen student enrollment, transition, success, persistence, and retention through parent and family engagement.

Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for Parent and Family Services initiatives, programs, and communications.

Leads the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of parent and family engagement programs and services, including a year-round engagement calendar and Parent and Family Orientation.

Establishes annual goals and objectives that align with university and division priorities and implements assessment measures to enhance programs, services, and resources for parents and family members.

Collaborates with campus partners to develop resources, communications, and programming that support student transition, success, persistence, and retention.

Maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of parent and family engagement initiatives.

Develops and manages integrated marketing and communication plans for parents and family members, including website content, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, webinars, engagement platforms, and other digital communications.

Oversees the Parent and Family Services website and ensures content remains accurate, accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with university branding and messaging standards.

Creates and maintains parent- and family-focused materials, including brochures, guides, presentations, promotional resources, and other print and digital communications.

Leads assessment efforts related to student, parent, and family experiences through the development and administration of surveys, evaluations, and other assessment tools.

Analyzes internal departmental data, including orientation registration trends, attendance patterns, participation rates, engagement metrics, and program outcomes.

Develops annual reports that summarize participation trends, assessment findings, program effectiveness, and recommendations for future improvements.

Utilizes assessment findings and data analysis to recommend and implement improvements to programs, services, communication strategies, and operational effectiveness.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

and

Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, student affairs, event planning, communications, assessment, program management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Four years of related experience. Three years working experience in a student academic setting. Supervisory experience in an academic setting.

Experience in parent and family programs, orientation programs, student affairs, enrollment management, or related areas.

Experience with assessment design, survey development, data analysis, and reporting.

Experience utilizing CRM, engagement, or communication platforms such as CampusESP.

Experience managing websites and digital communication strategies.

Experience developing and delivering presentations, workshops, or webinars.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Masters Degree.
