The Production Planner is responsible for developing a 12-month production plan for finished goods and components, aligned with Demand Planning forecasts and safety stock targets to ensure optimal inventory levels. This role is highly analytical and focused on SKU-level planning, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and validate monthly finished goods production plans and component supply requirements to support on-time delivery and targeted fill rate performance
Maintain accuracy and integrity of production planning parameters within systems
Set production priorities and communicate availability timelines to Demand Planning to ensure visibility for sales and customer needs
Effectively communicate and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Manage inventory levels across finished goods, work-in-progress, and components, including excess, obsolete, and slow-moving items
Drive proactive production and inventory strategies to minimize out-of-stocks while balancing demand variability and supply constraints
Build and maintain accurate planning tools and files to support production scheduling, inventory management, and decision-making
Oversee the depletion of obsolete components and coordinate transitions to new materials to ensure continuity of production
Analyze and adjust SKU-level lead times to improve supply reliability and reduce inventory risk
Evaluate lead times across product categories and recommend optimization opportunities based on portfolio insights
Support special program planning and conduct performance analysis to inform future planning strategies
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in production planning or a related field (cosmetics/beauty industry preferred)
Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
Ability to develop and execute both short- and long-term plans aligned with business objectives
Demonstrates strong business judgment and high ethical standards
Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
