Venteon Finance is currently engaged on a SENIOR CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT search for a growing manufacturing client located in the Detroit area.
REQUIREMENTS of the Senior Corporate Accountant role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
CPA Designation preferred, not required
5 - 7+ Years of experience
Consolidation Accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Corporate Accountant
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities across legal entities and business units.
Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries, entity-level entries, and intercompany eliminating entries
Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, investigate differences, and coordinate timely resolution with business unit finance teams
Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and financial reporting packages in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company reporting requirements
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and complete corporate accounting deliverables according to the reporting calendar
Assist the Corporate Controller with technical accounting research, internal controls, special projects, and finance process improvements
Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes
