About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Corporate Counsel with a strong background in construction law to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and business-minded professional, with a focus on providing practical, solutions-oriented legal guidance. This role is pivotal in supporting the Central Region, leading complex contract negotiations, and shaping risk management to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' of legal experience, with a significant portion dedicated to construction law, and a deep understanding of design-build, CMAR, and procurement agreements. In-house experience is highly valued, and the role requires a candidate who is adept at reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of project agreements, as well as advising internal stakeholders.Applicants for the Senior Corporate Counsel position at the company should be well-versed in the intricacies of construction law, particularly in the context of the company's diverse project portfolio. The role demands a professional who can seamlessly integrate with a highly collaborative legal team and who is capable of providing expert legal support across a broad range of construction transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading contract negotiations and will be instrumental in the company's risk management strategies. A strong educational background in law, with a focus on construction or related fields, is required, and the candidate must be admitted to and in good standing with the Bar in Missouri or eligible for limited admission for in-house counsel licensure.
