Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel with significant experience drafting and negotiating complex Technology & Commercial Contracts. This role is an integral part of our legal team, providing expert legal advice and counsel to our business clients, primarily in the IT departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts, ensuring compliance, governance, privacy, security, and contractual issues are addressed.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal advice and counsel to business clients, primarily in the IT departments.
2. Draft and negotiate complex IT contracts, including software licenses, service agreements, SOWs, cloud/hosting agreements, and other technology-related agreements.
3. Ensure compliance with privacy and security laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
4. Develop and implement legal strategies and solutions to meet business objectives.
5. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure the company's legal obligations are met.

Qualifications:
1. 5-6 years of focused information technology legal experience.
2. Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of privacy and security laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
4. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to at least one State Bar.
5. Strong legal and contract drafting skills.
6. Proven ability to provide legal advice and counsel to business clients.
7. Experience in dealing with compliance, governance, privacy, security, and contractual issues.
8. Familiarity with software licenses, service agreements, and SOWs, cloud/hosting agreements, and other technology-related agreements.
9. Regular in-office attendance required.
