Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Cost Accountant with 5+ years of experience to join our finance team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and managing cost accounting functions, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliationsMaintain and update standard costs; conduct regular cost roll-upsAnalyze manufacturing or service costs and recommend cost-saving initiativesOversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts and physical inventory processesSupport month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accountingAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal controlsPartner with operations to improve cost efficiency and profitabilitySupport external audits and provide required documentationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of cost accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory managementExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsCPA or CMA certification preferredCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience; Atlanta market range typically $80,000–$110,000+ annually depending on industry)#J-18808-Ljbffr
