Our client located in Greenfield, MA is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team!
Your qualifications for the Senior Cost Accountant position are as follows:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of standard costing, job costing, and inventory valuation methods
Computer proficiency including ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables, charts, and dashboards)
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of the following preferred: cost modeling, variance analysis, performance benchmarking, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning
Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience preferred

For the Senior Cost Accountant position your duties will include:
Drive plant performance through accurate product costing, inventory management, and insightful operational analysis
Support month-end close activities
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles
Prepare reporting and perform ROI and cost-benefit analyses
Collaborate with various departments to support strategic decision-making
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with additional accounting activities including general ledger entries and balance sheet transactions
