    Description

    Senior Cost Accountant

    Top Manufacturing company headquartered off of 495 near Mansfield, MA is hiring for a Senior Cost Accountant to lead the month-end close & financial reporting for inventory, while partnering closely with the manufacturing plant.

    Eligible candidates will ideally have experience working for a Global company handling the Cost & Inventory function. Strong systems experience (data analysis / visualization tools / large ERP) is a plus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage monthly closing of financials for the manufacturing plant in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
    • Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
    • Help design, implement and enforce effective controls, accounting processes, systems and procedures
    • Responsible for analysis of Inventory, including journal entries for intercompany inventory movement
    • Serve as liaison for Division finance functions/needs and administer finance policies
    • Track and manage reconciliation schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities/expenses, and deferred revenue
    • Inventory control and providing support for physical inventories and perpetual transactions
    • Coordinate and oversee physical inventories and audits of manufacturing facilities; Help design and implement consistent inventory count procedures
    • Investigate complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports
    • Vendor Management & ability to partner with external resources
    • Communicate key drivers in regards to the full financial profit and loss statement (sales, customer drivers, adjustments, etc)
    • Ad hoc projects as they arise


    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Cost / Manufacturing / Tangible-product environment experience highly preferred
    • Interest in growth, promotion, and leadership
    • Communication & Business Partnering skills
    • Strong systems experience (data analysis / visualization tools / large ERP) is a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
    • Interest in growth, and professional development
