Our client, a mid-sized manufacturing corporation, is hiring for a Senior Cost Accountant position. Qualified candidates will have a degree in accounting or finance along with 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing company. You will work closely with the Controller and produce cost reporting for the company with a focus on purchase price variance, labor and overhead costs and inventory. This position will give an experienced cost accounting professional the opportunity to really impact the organization. They offer great benefits; health insurance, FSA, unlimited PTO program, generous 401k match. This is an onsite, full-time role offering a salary of $100,000 to $150,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant include:
· Track and report on all costs associated with the manufacturing process
· Purchase price variance analysis
· Inventory reporting and analysis of raw materials, finished goods and work in progress
· Liaise with IT to further develop the ERP system
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
· 3+ years of cost accounting experience, manufacturing industry required
· Prior experience working with an ERP system, strong Excel skills
· Ability to work well as an individual, desire to take the lead as needed
