Pay Rate: $95K - $125K

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for an established U.S.-based manufacturer of premium outdoor and recreational products, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in cost accounting and inventory valuation looking to further their career in manufacturing finance.

• Own inventory costing and cost of goods sold valuation, including standard cost updates, LIFO reserve schedules, overhead analysis, and work-order variance reconciliation.
• Lead operational month-end and year-end close processes; deliver weekly operational reports covering direct labor, purchase price variance, and cost of quality to operations leadership.
• Prepare client schedules and analytical support for the annual audit; serve as key liaison for Transfer Pricing and partner cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and finance teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements.

Essential Qualifications

• 4-7 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment; strong knowledge of standard cost systems and GAAP.
• Proficient in ERP systems (JDE preferred), BI and reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); significant analytical capability with demonstrated experience in inventory and cost analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
