This position will take an active role in working with our leadership team to report, analyze and forecast information. Significant interaction with other departments and business disciplines will be required by this individual.This role is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of operating and financial analyses to support the operation of the assigned facilities. This work will enable us to improve the accuracy of our forecasting and reporting systems, and help to identify opportunities to improve cost of our Operation.Responsibilities Ability to investigate, summarize and report facility operating information, including the analysis of variances, earned hours and other key operating information.Month end close analysis, journal entries and update standard reports.Assist in the development of the annual budget and monitor facility performance against that budget.Assist/participate in the management of the annual Physical Inventory process.Assist/participate in the annual restatement of Plant Standard Costs.Establish a process to monitor and report on capital expenditures and cost reductions.Other ad hoc report requests as necessary, freight, scrap, etc.Qualifications 3+ years of experience in cost accounting/manufacturing accounting.Very proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.Hands on experience with Oracle, Hyperion or Essbase.Outstanding communication skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment.Prior cost accounting and financial analysis experience.Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000Job Details Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries AccountingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) by 2xGet notified about new Senior Cost Accountant jobs in St Paul, MN .Posting locations and related salary ranges are provided for general informational purposes only and are not guarantees of compensation or position availability.We're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
