Senior Cost Accountant

Overview:

Location: Onsite, Altoona, PA

The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening Senior Cost Accountant for an international manufacturing client. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, experience with inventory control, and demonstrated ability to work with multiple departments to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, direct labor, overhead, scrap, and landed costs
• Perform variance cost analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Oversee inventory accounting activities including cycle count reconciliations, scrap, and shrinkage
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate BOMs and routing data
• Develop and maintain financial models and cost analysis to accurately provide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning data
• Serve as a key advisor to management on inventory, costing, and manufacturing finance matters

Qualifications:

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Experience Required:

• 5+ years in an accounting role in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using a manufacturing ERP such as SAP, Sage, or Syteline
• Experience with inventory control variances and analysis
• Strong analytical skills
