Senior Cost Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Manage job costing and project accounting for complex manufacturing programs
• 
  
• Perform percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• 
  
• Analyze work-in-process (WIP), labor utilization, project costs, and manufacturing variances
• 
  
• Partner with operations to monitor project budgets, profitability, and financial performance
• 
  
• Review financial statements and ensure accurate reporting of manufacturing and project activity
• 
  
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve cost reporting
• 
  

Qualifications of the Senior Cost Accountant:

• 
  
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing cost accounting
• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 
  
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, or job-shop manufacturing
• 
  
• Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and ASC 606 strongly preferred
• 
  
• Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and manufacturing accounting principles
• 
  
• Background in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or custom manufacturing preferred
• 
  
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with finance and operations teams
