Overview
We are seeking a licensed and highly experienced Journeyman Electrician with a top secret clearance to support electrical infrastructure at a secure computing facility in Boulder, Colorado. This role is ideal for a dependable and safety-conscious professional with a deep understanding of mission-critical electrical systems, including backup generators, UPS systems, and switchgear. The successful candidate will ensure 24/7 uptime and compliance with industry best practices and safety codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a mission-critical secure computing center environment, including switchgear, and emergency power systems.
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Coordinate with HVAC, mechanical, and IT teams to support data center operations and planned changes.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems under pressure, adhering to strict uptime protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and records of all electrical work and inspections using CMMS tools.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support emergency repair situations as required
Skills Required
- Valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License
(required).
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on electrical experience, with at least 2 years in data center or critical facility environments
(preferred).
- Proficiency with electrical codes (NEC), safety protocols, and testing procedures.
- Experience with UPS systems and backup generators.
- Ability to read and interpret one-line electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must possess a DOD top secret clearance with SCI eligibility for work in a high-security facility.

Education
- The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma.
