Job Description

Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to join our construction management consulting and inspection team. This remote position plays a critical role in supporting owners' representative services for a diverse portfolio of public infrastructure projects, including transit systems, bridges, highways, tunnels, airports, ports, water/wastewater facilities and buildings. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in electrical systems estimating (Power Distribution Systems [high, medium and low voltage], Railroad Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS), DC Traction Power, Railroad Signals, Communications Systems [data networks , public address, Wi-Fi distribution, fiber networks] , Safety and Security Systems [ fire alarm, CCTV, access control], Process Controls and Instrumentation), with the ability to develop accurate and independent cost estimates across all phases of design and construction.Benefits: 401k Profit Sharing Plan, Medical, Dental, Vision, Wellness incentives, Life, Disability, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital insurance, Health/Dependent Care FSA, paid Vacation, Sick and Holiday time off, Parental leave, Employee Assistance Plan, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Discounts and an Employee Referral Bonus Program.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop independent cost estimates (ICE) at various design stages (conceptual, preliminary, final).Prepare and review cost estimates for change orders and claims analysis.Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate pricing.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to validate cost assumptions.Utilize estimating software (Sage Estimating or similar) to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.Maintain current knowledge of industry pricing, labor rates, and market trends.Provide expert input on risk assessment and value engineering opportunitiesQualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical systems.Proven record of accomplishment with infrastructure projects (transit, bridges, highways, rail).Ability to develop independent cost estimates and analyze change orders and claims.Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required).Must be highly proficient in the use of laptop and desktop computersMust have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the use of Microsoft ExcelProficiency in Sage Estimating or HCSS Heavy Bid Software is highly desirable.Must have experience in reading construction plans and specifications and developing the crews, equipment, and production rates required to build a projectStrong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.Must have a positive attitude, calm demeanor, and work well with others.Must be fluent in the English language, have excellent writing skills, and have excellent oral communication skills.AACE certification (Certified Estimating Professional or similar) is a plus.Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with construction management consulting practices.Knowledge of federal, state, and local infrastructure project requirements.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must at all times have a current, valid driver's license in which the employee performs his or her driving duties and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
