JOB DESCRIPTION:
SBI Consultants LLC is currently looking for a Senior Cost Manager / Senior Estimator (SCM) to join our team. SCM is an integral role that interacts closely with all levels of external and internal stakeholders. SCM is responsible for the line of business that performs cost management and estimating consulting for architects, engineers, developers and owners. Through alignment with office and project teams and utilizing industry best practices, SCM ensures Client's needs are met and expectations exceeded, thus stimulating revenue growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCM leads the team of Project Engineers/Estimators, manages their daily activities. Implements technical estimating standards and procedures. Assesses team skillset, develops team's training and development plan to ensure services are performed at the highest industry standards.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: problem solving, high level of attention to detail with ability to see big picture, ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple projects and aggressive deadlines, be self-motivated and self-starter, be organized, and understand project budgeting and resource planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor and/or Master's degree in engineering/construction management from an accredited university.
10+ years of progressive relevant industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including 3+ years experience managing a team.
Experience managing processes, projects, and teams is required. Experience in all stages of a project - from estimating to close out - is a must.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), EIT, PE, PMP are desirable.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications. Ability to confirm scope/identify gaps and scope creeps.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel - advanced level). Proficient with CAD or other Building Modeling & Design applications, Project Management, Scheduling, Estimating software. Bluebeam - advanced level. Must have full understanding of ERP modules related to construction management.
