KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide legal advice and counsel to internal business clients on a range of issues such as insurance, warranty, finance, and corporate laws.
2. Draft review and negotiate agreements and other legal documents that support APDs business with dealerships, producers, agents, and lenders.
3. Collaborate with others effectively across Protectives businesses, establishing and maintaining productive working relationships to deliver results.
4. Under direction of Vice President, Senior Counsel, participate in the legal departments efforts in connection with strategic development, implementation, and monitoring of new products, services, programs, and other initiatives.
5. Research state insurance and finance laws and regulations, write memoranda as required to management and/or company personnel on the applicability or effect of such laws and regulations.
6. Other job duties and projects as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS

• Law degree from ABA accredited law school • Currently admitted to a state bar and in good standing • Minimum 10 years experience in insurance or regulated financial industries and legal environments. Specific knowledge of F&I products, vehicle service contracts, GAP, and related industry participation programs preferred • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to work effectively with and coordinate with others • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite

SUPERVISION

Subordinate to: TBD - potentially managing 1-3 attorneys and senior legal analysts LI-SB1160000 - $160,000 - $190,000 per year

Protectives targeted compensation for this position is $160k-190k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protectives total compensation package for employees.
