SENIOR COUNTERTOP INSTALLER / TEMPLATE TECHNICIAN

ADVANCED COUNTERTOP EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Can you accurately measure, template, and install countertops for production without relying on someone else to check your work?

Delorie Countertops & Doors, Inc. is an established South Florida countertop company serving the area since 1999. We are looking for a highly experienced countertop professional to join our Pompano Beach team.

This is not an entry-level installer position. We are looking for someone who already has the experience and judgment required to measure and template countertops accurately, understand different countertop materials, and identify potential problems before fabrication.

THIS IS A HIGH-SKILL POSITION

The right candidate must understand that different countertop materials are not measured, fabricated, or installed exactly the same way.

You should be experienced with:

• Accurate field measuring and templating
• Producing precise measurements, sketches, and layouts for fabrication
• Understanding finished dimensions and field conditions
• Laminate countertops
• Solid surface / Corian countertops
• Quartz
• Natural stone
• Understanding material-specific requirements and limitations
• Seams, joints, overhangs, backsplashes, fillers, and clearances
• Sink and cooktop cutouts
• Undermount, top-mount, and integrated sink applications
• Identifying potential problems before fabrication
• Making accurate field adjustments when site conditions differ from drawings
• Professional countertop installation and finishing
• Safely using hand and power tools

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We need someone who can go to a job site and confidently:

Measure Evaluate existing conditions Determine requirements Create an accurate template/layout Communicate the information for fabrication Return and complete the installation.

Accuracy is critical. A qualified candidate must understand how a small measurement error can result in costly fabrication problems, material waste, delays, or installation issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive countertop installation experience required
• Strong field measuring and templating experience required
• Demonstrated experience with laminate and solid surface countertops
• Quartz and/or natural stone experience strongly preferred
• Excellent understanding of countertop construction and installation
• Able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
• Strong understanding of dimensions, angles, radii, clearances, and finished dimensions
• Excellent problem-solving and field judgment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional and reliable
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to safely lift up to 75 lbs.

• Entry-level applicants
• General laborers
• Applicants looking to learn countertop installation
• Applicants with only general construction experience
• Installers who have never performed their own field measurements or templates
• Applicants who require extensive training in countertop measuring, templating, or material-specific requirements
