Senior Crew Chief – Level II

Noor Staffing Group is placing a Senior Crew Chief for a leading engineering and land surveying firm operating across the Oil & Gas sector. In this field-facing, hands-on role, you will be responsible for executing complex survey operations including well location staking, pipeline right-of-ways, section corner establishment, and access road staking. You will oversee survey assistants daily while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Stake well locations, survey and establish section corners, and stake access roads including slope staking and well location pads
- Stake pipelines and pipeline right-of-ways
- Prepare topographic surveys and perform x-sectioning
- Execute mathematical calculations, field checking, and field data collection
- Take accurate, clear field notes and perform note reduction
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Perform quality control on all survey work
- Maintain company equipment and company vehicle
- Complete timely and accurate accounting of all time and expense activity
- Serve as a professional company representative when meeting with clients and public land owners
- Oversee and guide survey assistants on the crew daily
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required with a background in math, geometry, and trigonometry. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level I Senior Crew Chief position.
Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the Oil & Gas surveying industry; expert understanding of measurement error sources; proven competency in monumentation, staking, and marking.
Skills & Abilities: Proficient math and computer skills. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation habits. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Proactive, professional, and adaptable.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR that meets company standards
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to walk for extended periods and operate ATVs across varied terrain
- Must pass and participate in company drug & alcohol compliance program
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and extreme weather conditions
Compensation & Details
Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)
