June 25, 2027 - 3.97% increase to base pay (3.97% Market Increase)
Per County Rules: This position is eligible for appointment at Step 1, $49,275.20 annually. County employees are subject to the County Promotion Rule for Step Placement in Accordance with Compensation Ordinance 1.3.5.
In addition to the base salary, the incumbent may receive:
5% institutional work location premium
$.50/hour locked facilities premium
Receive an annual uniform allowance
About the Position:
Senior Custodians assigned to the Sheriffs Office supervise and direct the work of incarcerated persons in cleaning buildings and grounds. Positions are located at various locations throughout the department. This recruitment may be used to fill other openings as they occur.
Note: Occasional nights and weekends may be required based on operational needs.
Education and Experience:
Education, training, and/or experience that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above. Qualifying education/experience:
Two (2) years of paid, custodial experience; AND, completion of safety training courses for compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations within six (6) months of hire.

Evaluation:
Qualified applicants will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based upon scores received during the evaluation of the employment application and supplemental questionnaire. If you are successful in the initial screening process, your application will be reviewed individually to confirm that the information you provided is accurate and qualifying.
