The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst who will be our primary representative and a self-motivated resource for our team in our rapidly expanding connected infrastructure division.  This representative would be required to travel to CONUS and OCONUS governmental DoD facilities and must have the capability of performing logical scans to locate OT components and assess network architecture and connectivity in an effort to support multiple DoD entities complete inventories of Operational Technology (OT).

Specific responsibilities are to include: 

  • Up to 50% travel to multiple DoD sites and conduct hardware and software ICS system and OT network inventories in accordance with USACE ICS Inventory Methodology and DoD specifications and standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-010-06, Cybersecurity of Facility-Related Control Systems.
  • Oversight of additional teams travelling to sights to perform ICS and OT system inventories
  • Create detailed network/topology & dataflow diagrams showing all connections, device purpose (e.g., application server, engineering workstation, unmanaged switch), Make, Model, Serial Number, Firmware or OS, IP Address, Authorization Boundary, and a notional representation of connected level 1 devices as defined by UFC 4-010-06.
  • Perform a review and analysis of inventory data and determine each system’s compliance or lack thereof with Cybersecurity Policies and the RMF and make recommendations to ensure the system complies with RMF/Cybersecurity requirements
  • Participate in initial planning, on-site visit logistics, and post-survey closeout reporting functions with project team members and government stakeholders. 

Required Experience & Skills 

  • Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) Certification or other equivalent certification at the “Advanced” level for Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist as defined by DoD 8140.03M
  • Experience with building design and trade disciplines involving the management of critical building systems 
  • Experience with conducting site visits and assessments at client facilities 
  • Experience with assessing conditions of OT infrastructure, including hardware and software, such as age, quality, quantity, and vulnerability 
  • Experience with collaborating with customers, trade contractors, building inspectors, and building service providers 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to obtain a basic civilian security clearance 
  • 7 Years+ overall in demonstrated, related experience 

 

Preferred Experience & Skills 

  • Experience with conducting building inventory audits or facility condition assessments 
  • Experience working on government and/commercial projects implementing cybersecurity requirements in a variety of industrial control systems
  • Knowledge of environmental, sustainability, and energy efficiency regulations, executive orders, and consensus standards 
  • Experience working with diverse project types and technologies 
  • Experience with Federal government agencies, preference to DoD 
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently 
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving and project skills 

 

Required Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

 

Preferred Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity
