Overview:

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer on a long term contract providing Cyber Security services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to provide security services and capabilities necessary to ensure IT services provided to the IC customer workforce are secure. This includes Identity and Access Control Infrastructure Operations, Cross Domain Infrastructure Operations, Cyber Security Infrastructure Operations, Cyber Security Operations, Information Technology (IT) Audit Infrastructure, and Security Infrastructure Operations. 

  

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally. 

Responsibilities:
  • Engineers, designs, and implements C2C deployment support while managing the appliances, servers, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Coordinates with the network service provider to develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture diagrams.
  • Evaluates and recommends technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices.
  • Monitors and investigates C2C performance and faults to recommend and implement necessary improvements.
  • Interacts with team members and customers at multiple levels to gather and coordinate vital technical information.
  • Supports Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities related to cybersecurity technologies and system accreditation.

This position is 100% onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications:

Clearance Requirements: Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ a CI polygraph.

 

Degree and years of experience: Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ additional years of cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Security and/or Cyber Engineering.

Required Certifications:

  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.

Desired Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with technologies involved in large-scale enterprise deployments and data center environments.
  • Experience deploying enterprise security software products such as firewalls, IPS, Anti-Virus, and network management systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, TCP/IP networking, 802.1x, and general network security concepts.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience implementing vendor-agnostic C2C capabilities and services within DoD engineering and sustainment environments.
  • Proficiency with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and tools such as Nmap, Nessus, and tcpdump.
  • Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and XML Scripting to automate security tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
