The Enterprise Security and Resilience Office ESRO are the central enterprise security organization responsible for protecting the confidentiality integrity and availability of information across UnitedHealth Group Optum and UnitedHealthcare. ESRO sets enterprise security direction and partners with technology business and acquired entities to reduce cyber risk and improve resilience at scale.
The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for planning coordinating and tracking security initiatives ensuring workstreams progress as expected dependencies are managed and risks are surfaced early. The role is delivery‑focused and technical in nature working across multiple security workstreams under the direction of senior program leadership.
Hours
Monday - Friday - 8 AM - 5 PM in any time zone.
Primary Responsibilities
Project & Workstream Execution
Manageday‑to‑dayexecution of assigned security projects and workstreams within the M&A security program
Develop andmaintaindetailed project plans schedules and task tracking across multiple initiatives
Coordinate technical activities across security IT engineering andacquiredentity teams
Track milestones deliverables and dependencies to ensuretimelyexecution
Technical Coordination & Support
Serve as a technical project coordination point between program leadership and delivery teams
Support implementation of enterprise security standards by aligning tasks owners and timelines
Identifyexecution risks blockers and technical dependencies and escalate as needed
Assistwith documentation evidence tracking and readiness artifactsrequiredfor integration
Status Reporting & Transparency
Provide clearaccurateproject‑levelstatus updates to program leadership
Maintain RAID logs action item tracking andworkstream‑levelmetrics
Support KPI tracking and reporting by ensuring data quality andtimelyupdates
Cross‑FunctionalCollaboration
Work closely withsecurity solution engineers and programmanagers to supportprogram‑levelobjectives
Partner with technical teams andacquiredentities to ensure clarity of scope and expectations
Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes templates and tooli
