Senior D365 Finance Lead - Consulting (F&O, SCM & Business Central)

The Senior D365 Finance Lead is responsible for driving ERP transformation initiatives, leading consulting engagements, and ensuring successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions across Finance and Supply Chain Management.

This role combines functional expertise, client advisory, and delivery leadership to support global clients in modernizing finance and operations through scalable, cloud-based solutions. The position partners closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver high-impact business outcomes across implementation and managed services engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Advisory and Consulting

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to finance and operations leadership, including CFOs and senior stakeholders
  • Leads business process assessments, gap analysis, and solution blueprinting
  • Defines ERP transformation strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned to business objectives
  • Facilitates executive workshops, discovery sessions, and solution demonstrations

Delivery Leadership

  • Leads end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and enhancements of D365 Finance and Supply Chain solutions
  • Oversees delivery across functional workstreams, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget
  • Ensures quality standards, risk mitigation, and governance across project and managed services engagements

Finance Functional Leadership

  • Designs and implements solutions across core finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank, Budgeting, and Consolidation
  • Enables financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
  • Drives process optimization including month-end close and financial automation

Supply Chain and Cross-Functional Integration

  • Collaborates with supply chain teams across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and manufacturing processes
  • Aligns finance and operations processes including costing and inventory valuation
  • Drives end-to-end business process integration across ERP functions

Pre-Sales and Solutioning

  • Supports RFP and RFI responses, solution design, and effort estimation
  • Participates in client presentations, demonstrations, and discovery discussions
  • Contributes to solution architecture and value proposition development

Technology and Innovation

  • Promotes adoption of Microsoft ecosystem tools including Power Platform and Azure-based integrations
  • Supports data migration strategies, reporting solutions, and process automation initiatives
  • Drives continuous improvement and digital transformation across client environments

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
  • Relevant Microsoft Dynamics certifications preferred

Job-related Experience

  • Customarily has at least 10 years of experience in ERP consulting with strong client-facing exposure
  • Customarily has at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • Proven experience across finance and supply chain modules
  • Experience working in global delivery models including onshore and offshore teams
  • Experience in managed services and application support models

Salary Range

The anticipated base range for this role is $150,065-$190,320. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for the role. This role is eligible to receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement contributions.
