Position Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst will support the design, development, assessment, and monitoring of process designs that foster agility, resilience, efficiency, and patient safety in and around the Expanse electronic health record (EHR). In this role, the Senior Data Analyst will employ Lean, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System methodologies to define and describe opportunities for improvement in clinical workflows in and involving Expanse through all things data. This role will lead, develop and consult with teams to generate recommendations to gain efficiencies for clinical workflows in Expanse, including but not limited to physician / APP, nursing, lab, and pharmacy. The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to the Expanse product team, Clinical Informatics, enterprise clinical teams such as Nursing and Pharmacy, division, and facility teams to help implement improvements, and sustain results, using a methodical process. This team applies data-driven business principles to the selection and development of advanced technologies that enable breakthroughs in care and efficiency in our business operations. This role will work closely with cross-functional team members (as well as external stakeholders), including multiple constituents across the enterprise, to execute project requirements that will establish solutions directionality and support leadership to effectively and efficiently assess, develop and integrated new workflows, derived from the translation of workflow observations, quantitative inputs from various clinical systems and qualitative inputs. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for developing and curating Key Performance Indicators by developing analytical models and measurement tools to track performance and outcomes. They collaborate with a wide range of colleagues including business analysts, data analysts, product managers, clinical SMEs, hospital leaders, operation directors, and engineers to achieve team goals. They have the opportunity to contribute to clinical design, process engineering, and product development across CT&I’s portfolio depending on interest and expertise. They are expected to learn and leverage the enterprise reporting solutions used to run HCA’s operations to collect information for analysis and assist other CT&I members with data collection. They are expected and positioned to advance their knowledge the business of healthcare at HCA in areas such as clinical operations, technology development, supply chain, and beyond.
